WHAT'S NEW AT YEWFIELD
Yewfield Guest house is open again early February 2016, the apartments are open and available to book all year round.
Ambleside Manor our sister guesthouse is open and welcoming guests, situated in Ambleside and open throughout the year, visit www.ambleside-manor.co.uk.
Gary Primrose who manages the woodlands around Yewfield features in a Cumbria Woodlands case study on managing the plantation and explains the long term goal of setting up a wood fuel cycle for the house, providing chip and firewood, while converting the woodland from coniferous forest to deciduous woodland. All the heating for the house and apartments is now provided by wood chip.
The house next door to Yewfield is now part of the estate providing us with three rooms.The large Leylandii hedge that shadowed the grounds has gone opening up to a lovely secluded garden area.
