Double and twin rooms at Yewfield are individually appointed to a very high standard, all with en-suite bath and shower, TV/DVD, radio, and tea and coffee making facilities. Many rooms have been recently refubished assisted by Tourism Connect with local herdwick carpets and accredited oak panelling.

Our tower suite suite is decorated in a more traditional manner and offers unrivalled views across the Vale of Esthwaite with Lake Windermere in the distance. This luxury suite includes a separate dressing/lounge area that overlooks the tarn and gardens.

The large lounge offers a quiet space to relax and enjoy the fine views, music or book collection from the extensive library allowing you to make the most of your relaxing break in the Lake District.

Vegetarian Breakfast at Yewfield

We offer a continental vegetarian buffet including fresh fruits, muesli, cereals, home baked bread, yoghurt, preserves, coffee and teas, and a full cooked vegetarian breakfast using locally sourced organic produce and ingredients where possible.

Eating Out

Offering bed and breakfast accommodation, Yewfield doesn't provide evening meals, although we do have our own vegetarian restaurant in Ambleside at
Zeffirellis, which is just a short drive away. Serving food in the restaurant until 9.45 each evening, we would suggest booking in advance during busy holiday periods. Zeffirellis serves a range of food with international influences using the best ingredients, cooked with passion and presented with more than a hint of flair!
