Directions from Ambleside

From Ambleside take the A593 Coniston Road and at Clappersgate (0.5 mile) turn sharp left at junction signposted B5286 Hawkshead.

IMPORTANT: from this turning proceed 1.2 miles, then on the brow of a hill turn right into an unclassified road signposted Tarn Hows. Follow this road for 2.4 miles, (passing the Drunken Duck Inn), before reaching the drive up to Yewfield on the right.

We recommend that you don't take the Ferry when travelling to Yewfield as the timetable is subject to change in the event of poor weather or seasonal variations.
