Caroline Pether Violin

Holds the Co-Leader position at Manchester Camerata and often guest leads the chamber orchestra Sinfonia Cymru. She also has a class of students at Birmingham Conservatoire Competition successes include reaching the string semi-finals of BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2008 and in the same year, winning the Chandos Young Musician of the Year competition. During her time at the RNCM she won the Norman George Violin Scholarship and other prestigious performances include a solo recital at the Bridgewater Hall and both the Walton and the Sibelius Violin Concertos with the Chandos Symphony Orchestra.

Simon Parkin Piano has developed his role as an accompanist pianist, now having a comprehensive repertoire as a composer, Simon’s main ongoing project is to compose a piece for every day of the year, for various instruments together with piano. He was awarded a PhD in composition by Manchester University.
