Mithras Piano Trio with Meera Maharaj Flute
Formed of current postgraduate students at the Guildhall School of Music, the Mithras Piano Trio came together in 2017 under the guidance of Matthew Jones, Carole Presland and Ursula Smith. As well as benefitting from tuition with members of the Endellion Quartet, it has also received regular coaching from András Keller, and was selected to perform in masterclasses with Ralf Gothóni and Levon Chilingirian.
Meera Maharaj enjoys a diverse performing career throughout the UK and beyond. A keen chamber musician, she is currently a Tunnell Trust, Park Lane Group and Countess of Munster Recital Scheme artist, together with pianist Dominic Degavino.
In 2018 Meera won a place in the Pro Youth Philharmonia and has previously participated in the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra’s Professional Experience Scheme.
